Beyoncé leads nominations for 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is the leading nominee at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards. The superstar has been nominated for 12 awards at this year's show, thanks to her latest album "Cowboy Carter."

Hosted by Shania Twain, the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards will air live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The second annual show will recognize the biggest and best country music has to offer with all 18 awards chosen by fans.

Beyoncé and Zach Bryan lead this year's nomination with the "Ya Ya" singer pulling in 12 and Bryan receiving 11.

The "Cowboy Carter" creator's nominations include female artist, social country star, album, song, female song, collaboration song, cover song, crossover song and storyteller song.

She received two nominations for female song for her singles “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ’Em.” And she also scored two nominations in the cover song category for her Beatles cover "Blackbiird" and her rendition of Dolly Parton's "Jolene." And she is also nominated for the top award of the evening, The People’s Artist of 2024.

As fans know, Beyoncé released her eighth studio album March 29, making history and breaking multiple records in the process. She first shocked the world when she released her hit singles "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages" during a surprise Super Bowl commercial. And it has been a huge catalyst for the recent spotlight on Black country artists and the genre's roots.

Fans can now cast their votes at votepcca.com through Aug. 23.

The People’s Choice Country Awards will air live Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET across NBC and Peacock.
